Welcome to your
Mindful Place
All are welcome at Mindful Place
I value and accept all people regardless of race, gender, sexual identity, age, ability, religious belief, and economic status. I acknowledge my privilege as a white cis-hetero female privileged by social, economic, and educational advantages that are inaccessible to most people due to unjust, exclusionary systems of power.
I reside on lands ceded by force from the Kathlamet, Wasco, Wishram, Clatsop, and Clackamas people.
I aim to offset my own complicity in unjust systems of power through an on-going commitment to societal change. My efforts are informed and supported by teachers who are directly impacted by the harm of colonialism, capitalism, and white supremacy.

FOR ALL MEDICAL PROVIDERS
You’ll learn and experience user-friendly practices to tailor a mindfulness program that suits your lifestyle.
We’ll address specific strategies to increase self-compassion, help you prioritize needed down time,
and foster supportive connections with like-minded providers.
Evidence-based practices are drawn from the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction
and the Mindfulness for Self-Compassion courses.
Donations gratefully accepted.
All courses are facilitated by Denise Gour, LCSW, Certified Mindfulness Educator. As therapist and teacher, Denise brings over 25 years of experience helping adults, families, and medical providers to reduce stress and navigate adversity with more self-compassion and ease.
